Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women who have made a difference in the lives of children. Whether you are a birth mother who selflessly gave up a child for adoption, a surrogate mother who carried a baby for someone else, a godmother who provides love and guidance, a foster mom who opens her heart and home, a single mom who takes on the role of both parents, or an expecting mom eagerly awaiting the arrival of your little one, this day is for you.
I also honor the mothers who have experienced the unimaginable pain of losing a child. To the women who have longed to be mothers but couldn’t, I acknowledge your strength and resilience.
I recognize the fur baby moms who care for their beloved pets, the grandmothers and great-grandmothers who continue to shower their love and wisdom, the stepmothers who embrace their blended families, and the countless women who may not have biological children but have nurtured and loved unbiological children as their own.
To the caregiver moms who tirelessly care for others, the aunts who step in as second moms, the nurse moms who heal and comfort, the teacher moms who educate and inspire, and the dads who take on the role of both mom and dad, I appreciate your dedication and love.
I also remember those who are celebrating Mother’s Day without their moms, and the moms who are hurting, because their children are estranged. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
To all the moms in retirement and nursing homes, I send my warmest wishes. And to our moms who are no longer with us, and to your moms who are in heaven, we hold them close in our hearts.
Lastly, to every mom reading this, I wish you a truly special and Happy Mother’s Day. You are deserving of all the love, appreciation, and recognition today and every day.
A lovely Mother’s Day tribute to all.
