Ingredients

Safflower oil: Safflower oil is high in Linoleic acid and vitamin E, which is a beneficial combination in the treatment of dry skin. It is an excellent moisturizer and works exceptionally well in lip balms to soothe and hydrate dry lips. You can use it in many recipes to nourish hands, face, and even hair!

Beeswax: Beeswax is an ideal emollient for the skin. Its natural hydrating quality puts moisture into the lips and provides nourishment and protection. Beeswax is rich in vitamin A and contains healing, softening and antiseptic properties. It is an ingredient of choice for many cosmetic products.

Shea Butter: Shea butter has been used for generations to rejuvenate hair and skin. It contains the nutritional vitamins A, E and F. Its superior moisturizing properties can be easily absorbed by the skin, making it silky. It is popular on its own or used as a base for lip balms, body butters and hair conditioners.

Begin by preparing a tube and measuring out 5 ml of safflower oil. Then, take one-third of the shea butter and incorporate it into the safflower oil. Next, gather 25 wax beads and add them to the measuring cup.

Set the measuring cup on a microwave-safe plate and pop it into the microwave for 1 minute. After heating, give it a good stir to ensure the beads have fully melted. If they haven’t melted completely, continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, as it often takes a bit longer for the beads to dissolve. Once melted, mix in your chosen flavor.

With care, fill your tubes and cap them securely. Place them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to allow them to solidify. After this time, check to see if they have set properly; if not, leave them in the fridge a little longer.

The outcome is a delightful all-natural lip balm that fits perfectly in a bag or purse. This homemade lip balm makes for a wonderful DIY gift, especially for your child to create as Christmas presents.

Instructions: Begin by taking off the cap and ball insert from the lip gloss applicator. Younger children may require assistance with this step. Next, measure out 5 ml of castor oil and pour it into the cup. It might be helpful to provide guidance on where to pour to. After that, add 5 ml of safflower oil to the same cup, filling it up to the ten-ml line. Once again, some direction on the appropriate line to pour to could be beneficial.

Begin by adding around 30 to 40 drops of the colored glycerine straight into the applicator. I mistakenly mentioned 60 in the video, but the accurate amount is indeed 30 to 40. The colors available are vibrant purple, playful pink, and sunny yellow. You can opt to use just one color or blend them for a unique hue.

Next, incorporate about 5 to 10 drops of flavor into the lip gloss applicator. The flavors provided are delicious Boysenberry and sweet Bubble Gum. Stir the mixture thoroughly before pouring it into the tube.

Finally, secure the rolling ball and cap back onto the lip gloss applicator, then shake it vigorously. Congratulations, you now have a fabulous tube of lip gloss!

The mixture should have a texture similar to damp sand—moist but not soggy. Pack it into your mold and allow it to dry for two hours.

When we removed the bath bombs from the heart mold, they did crumble a bit, but overall, we were very happy with the Kiss Naturals DIY bath bomb kit. Miss P had a fantastic time creating her own bath bombs.

With this kit, you can create 16 lovely soaps. Last year, we crafted four small bars for Miss P and one larger bar as a special Christmas gift for her older sister.
