Baby-led weaning with Ezpz tiny cup, spoon and bowl

We are a BLW (baby-led weaning) family and have promoted self-feeding from day one of our children starting solids. It is great to use a product that helps to encourage and support self-feeding from such a young age.  With Ezpz mealtime tools everything is the perfect size, from the tiny two ounce cup to the small  spoon and I have not even begun raving about the bowl.

The Tiny Cup

My daughter is mostly breast-fed so she has never used a bottle or sippy cup. I plan on avoiding those and going straight to a regular cup. While using the tiny cup, she was able to bring the full cup to her mouth, take a sip and then back down again without dropping or losing her grip. The cup is great for preparing her to drink from a regular cup.  Her first sip from the tiny cup  was a success with only a small amount of dribble, and the credit goes to the size. She is holding the cup with one hand on either side and maintaining her grasp perfectly.

The Tiny Spoon

Like most babies her age, everything goes straight to the mouth. The thick handle and length of the spoon ensures that she isn’t able to push too far into her mouth and cause a gag reflex, which is a problem we have with other utensils. With the tiny spoon she is able to realize that she needs to hold the bigger end, and dip the spoon into the bowl to continue eating. And I appreciate the texture for my teething little one.

The Tiny Bowl

Her first meal using the tiny bowl was yogourt. I was expecting a huge mess as typically suction bowls do not actually suction. The Ezpz  tiny bowl actually sticks to the tray for a more contained mess, rather than her throwing it and splattering everywhere. I own several other brands of “suction” bowls, and they haven’t suctioned since the day I purchased them. It was definitely a breath of fresh air to have a bowl where I do not have to worry about her throwing her bowl ending in a huge mess.

Bottom Line:

My favourite thing about the Ezpz tiny line is that everything is perfectly sized for small hands.  Never before has meal time been almost mess free. I say almost as there was still some mess in her high chair, but that’s it.  Using the Ezpz tiny line, I am able to get through an entire meal while it is still hot.

I highly recommend the EZPZ products and have been bragging about it to all my “mommy friends/family”.  All products are dish wash safe and made from 100% food grade silicone is free of BPA, BPS, PV, phthalates, lead and latex. The products are also built to last as silicone is bendable and flexible and doesn’t fade, corrode or deteriorate.

Every mother with young children should be trying these products. The line has been a real game changer in our house at meal times. Overall, the products are fabulous, and I cannot wait until my newest order of Ezpz  arrives.
