Additionally, it is advisable to melt all the chocolate simultaneously, as the chocolate included in the kit tends to harden rapidly once applied to the egg.

After filling the mold, give it a gentle spin to ensure that the chocolate has adequately coated the egg. We encountered difficulties, requiring three attempts and an additional $10.00 worth of chocolate due to a clogging dispenser.

Once the egg is fully coated, carefully remove the mold and place it in the freezer for approximately 10 minutes, or until the chocolate solidifies. During this time, you might engage in a quick game or craft while your child eagerly inquires about the progress. This is, of course, unless they are preoccupied with the desire to consume the remaining chocolate from the bag.

To unveil the surprise, gently squeeze the knobs on the plastic egg to separate it into two halves. It is important to note that this process does not create a hollow egg. Your child will then enjoy the chocolate that remains attached to the two halves of the plastic egg.

The guidelines clearly state that adult supervision is necessary. Nevertheless, it was primarily mom and dad who handled the majority of the egg-making process, aside from pushing the plunger, spinning the egg, indulging in the chocolate, and enjoying the included toy (which is sold separately).

Even with parents doing most of the work, my daughter was fascinated by the process of melting chocolate and creating her own Kinder Surprise-style egg at home. In fact, she was so excited that she woke up at 5 am the next day, eager for a chocolate egg for breakfast.

I do believe that the recommended age of six is somewhat on the lower side. It seems more appropriate for children aged nine and older.
