Coloring has sure come a long way since I was a kid. Introducing the new generation of coloring books. Painting Lulu is definitely an upgrade from the coloring books I had back when I was a little girl or even the ones my adult children had growing up in the 90’s. Painting Lulu bridges physical and digital coloring experiences for fans of My Little Pony. It is the only coloring set which combines pure coloring activities, both hands-on and digitally. Painting Lulu’s Paper-to-Digital My Little Pony Coloring Set comes with a 32-page coloring book, a digital crayon stylus, and a code to enter into the free Painting Lulu app to unlock the digital coloring content.
Kids can color each page of the coloring book with their own coloring tools, just as they would a traditional coloring book. Once you download the Painting Lulu app, you can also scan the pages into the app and use the crayon stylus to digitally color the pages.
The app’s digital coloring tools include an eraser, a crayon, a paintbrush, and a marker, plus a multitude of colors to work with. To edit, pinch to zoom and tap to switch between colors and coloring tools. You can save your Kids’ digital artwork to the app and email to friends and family from within the app. Kids can also print their creations!
For coloring on the go, blank versions of each page are pre-loaded into the app. The app also includes a Photo Booth feature where kids can take selfies with ready-to-color images of the ponies. Using the My Coloring Book feature, kids can take pictures of their surroundings and turn those photos into blank coloring pages.
Painting Lulu’s Paper-to-Digital My Little Pony Coloring Set Review
The coloring book by itself is inciting to my Little Pony Fan. I love that the book is made from 100% recycled paper. The stylus is crayon shape, so it is easy for my daughter to hold and use.
The app itself was super easy to download though the Google app gave some errors upon first try. This is the first coloring app I experimented, therefore I have nothing to compare it to. Nonetheless, I found the Painting Lulu Coloring App easy for my three year old daughter to learn, use and understand.
The feature to take pictures and turn them into coloring pages is a little disappointing. It works best if you take a picture of one object with very little detail.
My daughter loves the selfie feature. We took multiple selfies.
Painting Lulu was the perfect tool to introduce my daughter to the world of tablets. She loves to color and Painting Lulu’s Paper-to-Digital My Little Pony Coloring Set was a sure fire win.
Overall, Painting Lulu’s mobile app is an educational tool. It encourages creativity, teaches children how to color, and develops fine motor skills. It also provides hours of creative fun for children. If you are looking for a new creative app for your child, I would definitely recommend checking this one out!
Christmas is not far away and these Painting Lulu coloring packs will be perfect stocking stuffers.
In order to unlock the My Little Pony coloring book in the Painting Lulu app you can either purchase the coloring pack via http://www.paintinglulu.com and receive a code inside or purchase it digitally via the app ($2.99 via in-app purchase).
