My Review of Residence Inn Kingston Water’s Edge

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston Water’s Edge and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home.

The Residence Inn boasts 141 suites, with some offering stunning views of the harbor. Guests can select from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom accommodations. Each suite is equipped with a full kitchen, a sofa bed, and complimentary high-speed internet. The kitchen comes complete with an oven, microwave, and dishwasher. For added convenience, the hotel provides a free grocery shopping service. In your suite, you can unwind with a 32″ HDTV featuring plug-and-play technology. Enjoy the fresh harbor breezes as the windows open, and some suites even have Juliette balconies. Traveling with a pet? No worries! The Residence Inn welcomes your furry friends.

Additionally, the Residence Inn includes a saltwater indoor pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a business center. Guests can take advantage of several complimentary services, such as high-speed internet, local calls, and a daily newspaper delivered to your room. Travel light, as the hotel offers laundry facilities on-site and can also arrange pick-up and delivery for your dry cleaning needs.

Begin your day with a complimentary hot buffet breakfast, and in the evenings twice a week, you can connect with another guest at the snack meet and greet. Additionally, guests have the option to dine at West 76 Grill, the onsite restaurant at the Marriott Kingston Water’s Edge, which offers a diverse menu tailored to satisfy all preferences, including options for children. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and also provides room service.

Our recent visit to the Residence Inn was truly enjoyable. The suite we occupied was spacious and well-appointed. Located on the tenth floor, our suite boasted a stunning view of Lake Ontario.

The non-smoking one-bedroom suite was tastefully decorated with contemporary furnishings. It included a separate bedroom featuring a king bed, dresser, flat-screen TV, and a comfortable chair.

In the living room, there was a flat-screen TV, a queen-size sofa bed, a desk, and a dining area.

The kitchen was fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and ceramic cooktop. A coffee maker with complimentary tea and coffee was also provided, along with dishes, pots, and a toaster. It felt like our own little home away from home.

The bathroom was equipped with both a shower and a bathtub, and it included grab bars for safety. However, it could have benefited from additional towels, which seemed to be an oversight by the cleaning staff prior to our arrival. There’s no need to bring a hair dryer, as the hotel provides one for your convenience. Additionally, the room comes with an ironing board and iron.

Every week, the staff hosts complimentary snack evenings in the main lobby twice a week.

The complimentary breakfast, available in the inviting Hearth Room or on the lake view terrace, offers a wide variety of options. Guests can make their own waffles or select from eggs, sausage, muffins, French toast, fruits, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal. Coffee, juice, and tea are also provided. I was particularly impressed with the buffet-style breakfast.

Guests have access to both indoor and outdoor parking for $15 per day, with discounted rates for longer stays: $10 per day for 5-29 nights and $5 per day for stays of 30 nights or more.

In summary, our experience at the Residence Inn Kingston Water’s Edge was delightful. For charming lakeside accommodations that provide all the comforts of home, this hotel is an excellent choice.

In conclusion, the Residence Inn Kingston Water’s Edge is a hidden gem in the heart of Kingston. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, this hotel has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Book your room today and experience the perfect blend of luxury and convenience!
